To be a casual driver, it means you can work for one full week, then you’re off the next. If you prefer, you could work for two full weeks, then be off for two consistent weeks. Your schedule should be up to you and your lifestyle.

This is perfect for those individuals who live on a farm, are taking continuing education classes or taking care of a loved one. You get to be home for what matters most.

You’ve done the long hours, it’s your time to relax. By being a casual driver, you can still receive a supplemental income AND enjoy your free time. It is the best of both worlds.

 

Keep in mind, not all trucking companies hire causal drivers, so make sure that is the first question you ask when talking to recruiters.
