LH, SH, FB, oh my! What do those acronyms stand for and what do they mean to you, the professional truck driver? Long haul, short haul or flatbed. Here is how to choose the right division.
Long Haul
Long haul drivers typically live furthest away from the trucking company's main terminal. Depending on the company, they can expect to see home every other week or more.
Short Haul
Short haul is the most desired division. These professional drivers will be spending time at home weekly and possibly even throughout the week.
Flatbed
Flatbed drivers are sometimes known as the cowboys and cowgirls on the road. These drivers are the experts on tarping and securing loads.
Bonus - Casual
Drivers in the casual division need more time at home. Depending on the comapny, these drivers can be on the road for a week and then home for a week. At TransLand, drivers can even choose two weeks on the road and two weeks at home.
Whatever division is best for you, the first step is finding the right trucking company.
