Company values are what support the vision, shape the culture and demonstrate what is important to the company. Those core values should mean a lot to you, the professional truck driver.
Merriam Webster defines equal as, "like for each member of a group, class, or society provide equal employment opportunities."
Here are 3 reasons why equality as a core value should matter to you.
1. It is the right thing to do
Remember last week when we mentioned doing the right thing even if no one is watching? Yeah, it is like that.
2. To be fair is to be honest
Company core values should tie together. To have equality, you must be honest and have integrity.
3. Different interpretations, same outcome
The definition might change from person to person but there is always one outcome. To have equlality, you must be willing to be inclusive, fair and diverse.
