Congratulations! You found the right trucking company to join. You have sent all the paperwork over, the i's have been dotted and the t's have been crossed. It is time you start this new adventure.
Day 3: Finishing up and hitting the road
Immersion Into the Company
By day 3, you know that this is the company for you. It is time to solidify that feeling by learning some company history and how to get involved.
Physical Assesment
In order to be a professional truck driver, you must be physically able to do many things. In this assesment, the doctor will
- Check your blood pressure
- Conduct a general check up
You then must perform the tasks needed to be a professional driver, like:
- Squat
- Pull
- Lift
- Squeeze
- Go up and down stairs
Final Paperwork
This is the day when HR comes in and goes over company procedures and finishes paperwork. Soon, you will be signing, sealing and delivering your first load.
Congratulations and welcome on board! Orientation has a lot of information packed into three short days. However, those three days are something you will never forget.
